We live in the post-dress code era, where almost anything can be worn for any occasion. Many offices have little to no requirements for professional clothing, street style reigns over fashion magazines, and suits are almost exclusively reserved for weddings and funerals. While this shift has resulted in more freedom for individual style, it also makes getting dressed more complicated. Dressing well is more nuanced than ever, and can be a difficult realm to navigate. Lost Monarch is our solution to this ambiguity - we want to make clothing that helps men feel put-together without being overdressed. It’s a complicated concept to tackle, but we think that utilizing the right designs and materials can result in clothing that is versatile, comfortable, and refined.

Our Design Process

As a team of detail-obsessed tinkerers, we’re constantly looking for small ways to make our products more functional and more unique. We examine each and every part of our patterns, looking for places to add a bit of value or improve a garment’s versatility. We know that many of these design details will likely go unnoticed, but we think it’s worth the time to get it right anyway.

Our Factories

Early on, we decided that we didn’t want to limit our production to any one region of the world, whether by committing to making things only in the USA or Europe or by quietly sending all our production overseas. Great products can be made anywhere - the difficult part is finding the people that can do it with skill, care, and integrity. By building our supply chain around expertise and quality rather than margins or marketing, we can create the best possible product for the best possible price.

Our Materials

Like with any good recipe, making an excellent product requires excellent ingredients. This goes beyond the fabric, too - the quality of the little things, like the thread or interlining, will have an effect on the quality and longevity of the final product. We spend an absurd amount of time hemming and hawing over fabric compositions and colors, as well as chasing down hard-to-find manufacturers to discover the best ingredients at the best price. We know that the end result is only as good as the sum of its parts, and want to take the time to find the products that provide the best value for the end customer.
